as they change along this part of California.
Steven Mills was born in Santa Monica, California, was raised in Southern California in the
50's, Hawaii in the 60's, eventually landing on the Central Coast in the mid-70's, after a tour
in the navy. His family always like to live by the ocean which had a profound impact on the
type of subjects he likes to paint, with coastal themes being the main focus in most of the
paintings. The coast of California has a large variety of subject matter, from the magnificent
coastline to the golden fields of summer.
