Wildflowers of the Central Coast
March 25, 2007.
Today, we hiked the boardwalk at Moonstone Beach in
Cambria. Not much in bloom there yet, lots of black
mustard and introduced species, periwinkles and daisies.
We did find some early Monkey Flower, but it was quite
windy and we were not able to get a focused shot.
Remember, send your wildflower pics to
deci@crystalinecove.net. Date and location, please.
We love identification, but it's all right if you don't know.
We have a few "mystery" flowers also.

April 1, 2007.
Today, we walked the new boardwalk at The Fiscalini
Ranch Preserve in Cambria. (Formerly known as the
east-west ranch.) It was a glorious, sunny, beautiful day.
The bluffs were blazing with California Poppies and
Beach Primrose. We also saw a lot of Scarlet Pimpernel
and Blue-eyed Grass.
